Q: iPhone 6 Plus not charging

Hi guys! My iPhone 6 Plus is not charging using a wall charger but it charges when I use my Mophie Juice Pack as a dock. My Macbook does not recognize my phone unless I connect it through my juice pack. I tried the home+lock button already and tried using different apple certified lightning cables, it still won't charge. The "This cable or accessory is not certified etc..." message is still showing. Please help me get my iPhone fixed. Thank you so much!

    Hello Dhennn,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Based on your post, I see that your iPhone 6 Plus is not charging using a wall charger, but it charges when using your Mophie Juice Pack as a dock.  You're also getting a message that says your accessory isn't supported or certified. I know how important it is to make sure that you can charge your device how you want at any time. I'll be more than happy to assist you with this.

Use the article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge, specifically, this section:

If an alert says that your accessory isn't supported or certified

These alerts can appear for a few reasons: Your iOS device might have a dirty or damaged charging port, your charging accessory is defective, damaged, or non Apple-certified, or your USB charger isn't designed to charge devices.

    1. Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device.
    2. Restart your iOS device.
    3. Try a different USB cable or charger.
    4. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS.
    5. Contact Apple Support to set up service.

    Best Regards.

Hello! Thank you for you response. I appreciate it. I already tried numbers 1-4 and I also tried to reset my phone but still wouldn't work.

    Hello Dhennn,

Thanks for trying those steps. We have a couple more things that we would like you to try.

First, please make sure that you have a recent backup of your iPhone's important data. This article resource will help:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Next, let's try and restore your iPhone to factory settings. Restoring to factory will help isolate any software that is running on the iPhone that could be causing an issue. This article will help:

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Once you've restored to factory, test the charging cables, and see if you get the same accessory isn't supported or certified message.

If you still need assistance after that, please contact Apple Support using the link below:

    Best Regards.
