Q: My two Iphone 6 wont conect to my PC

I have two Iphones 6 both use to connect to my Windows 10 pc, but when I tried today they did not. The PC recognizes the iphones I have checked on "my computer" but ITunes does not.

I have:

1. updated the PC software (the phones and ITunes were the latest version)

2. run the ITunes diagnostics it says there is no Ipad or IPhone connected

Can you advise what I should do next?

What version of iTunes are you running on your PC?

Check your cable, if not I would recommended restarting all devices. Uninstall, then re-install itunes but first SAVE YOUR LIBRARY.

Thanks, I have found the "Apple IPhone" under the portable devices of the device manager, when right clicking it the information says its working correctly, I have tried to update the driver software, but it says its the latest version.

What do you suggest?

There is a new version of iTunes issued two days ago, 12.4.2. Try it first and check. If still of no help then try the steps in the first article below. You may have to delete the driver completely (it reinstalls after rebooting and reconnecting the phone) or as a last resort delete and reinstall iTunes completely. If you decide to reinstall iTunes you need to remove all Apple components as shown in the article at bottom.

Many thanks, The nature of the fault has changed: I tried my Ipad Pro on the PC for the first time and it connected, but using my device information from my IPhone 6. So now my IPhone6, IPhone 6+ and I Pad Pro all connect as my IPhone 6, (the serial number is the IPhone 6 info).

I tried to de-install the device (in the device manager), but it only gives my options to disable it, which did nothing. The device is seen under "portable devices".

I tried to update the drivers but it came back saying they were up to date.

Any suggestions and many thanks

I have removed and reinstalled ITunes, and now my IPhone 6, IPhone 6+ and IPad Pro are all seen and can be backed up, thank you.

There is one odd thing though, when I opened ITunes the software thought my IPhone 6 was connected (but it was not), and each time I go into the application its there. I can eject it but it just strange.

Ahh I have found out why, the IPhone is syncing by WIFI

I did as you said and moved "ITunes" over, at first it could not find the library, so I linked into the new path and it burst into life. It is down loading a few tracks from Match and that seems to work fine.
