Photos

My iphone 6s always says I do not have any memory so I can't take anymore pics. I went to sprint and they moved my pics over to google photos.... all my pics are still on the phone. they say if I sent them to icloud, i can't get them they are in some kind of a database and i can't just retrieve them like that. I am at a lost. I need to put my pics somewhere where I can access them easily and remove them from my phone to free up memory.
