Jul 18, 2016 2:29 PM in response to Pierre L.by wopmusic,Thanks. I have read this. It mentions iCloud, which I don't use and iPad, again which I don't use. But it really doesn't mention how to get RAW images downloaded straight from the camera into Photo. When I download RAW they appear as JPEG in Photo. Must be some simple setting for this(?) I have checked and my camera is supported for RAW.

Jul 19, 2016 6:21 AM in response to LarryHNby wopmusic,I have tried both ways, RAW + JPEG and RAW. I see the JPEG designation on Photos and on the Affinity photo software I bought from the Apple store. It's like Photos is converting the images to JPEG when I import them! Thanks!

Jul 19, 2016 5:16 PM in response to wopmusicby LarryHN,If you shoot RAW then in Photos you have a RAW original which is used as the base for all edits in Photos - for extentions a JPEG is generated for the extention wot work with in most (maybe all) cases
