Help please! I have just set up family sharing with my partner. I am the organise. My partner has accepted the invite but how does he now use it as it does not appear the same as mine and is not allowing him to search any new music. He has an iPhone 5s

What is it that he is trying to do and what does not appear the same? Do one of you happen to have Apple Music enabled?
At the bottom of my iTunes I have the options 'for you, new, radio, connect, my music'
at the bottom of his he has 'my music, playlist, radio, connect'
I was trying to show him that you can download playlists recommended by iTunes but there is no option there and it only allows him to search his own music. I have Apple Music enabled on my iTunes.
Sounds like he does not have Apple Music activated on his phone. Without it, he will not see the things you describe.
If he sets up Apple Music would he not get charged too?
Yes he would. You could set your Apple Music for the Family membership, which would allow him access, but there is a price change. Family Sharing does not provide him access to your Apple Music account.

I'm not quite understanding what you mean here. You are discussing two different subjects here, Family Sharing, and Apple Music Family Membership. Are you saying that you set up your Apple Music as a Family Membership, as opposed to a single membership? How much were you charged?
