How can I transfer data from my old hard drive onto my new macbook - will this adapter work?

Sadly I won't be able to physically put the old hard drive into another macbook and do that through thunder cable etc so I was wondering if any of the adapters would work? I'll be getting another macbook pro. The hard drive in my old mac is kingston ssd now drive, not the original macbook one. Would the universal adapter from newertech work with that?

Any advice greatly appreciated

MacBook Pro, null

Sadly.... my old macbook..... died....😢 At first the trackpad stopped working so I ordered a new one and wanted to replace it. i tried fiddling a bit with the old one, screw it a bit tighter etc. too, and that's when the disaster happened. As I've opened the cover for the millionth time, and tried to fix the trackpad, after that the macbook suddenly just refused to switch on. It's not the battery, because the battery is loading as it should. Tried all the pram resets etc. but nope. It just makes this really silent almost inaudible hissing sound when I press the power button and..nothing. It's probably the motherboard or something...
