Q: person said the message was delivered but was not recieved

Ok I'm texting someone and she read my message (with the receipts on) and she said she texted me four times and that i left her on read, but i didn't receive any messages. I also switched my SIM card into another iPhone 5 today but the texts aren't even on the messages app.

    Hi,

iMessages (presuming that is what you mean by "text" in this instance) only sends iMessages to the Registered devices.

That means the the "new" iPhone is not registered (it is Number and Serial Number) so it will only get new iMessages sent since.

I understand that you believe your Contact read your iMessages due to the setting to Receipts was set.

I am a little confused at the next bit.

Are you saying that your settings for Read are set and she believes you have read them due to being told you did ?

And from there you have not seen these 4 iMessages ?

You have posted in Mavericks  but talk about an iPhone.

    Are you using both ?

Did the iMessages appear on one and not the other ?

Did she send "To" the iPhone Number ?

Does the iPhone say the number is registered ?

Does the Mac accept syncs sent to the iPhone Number ?

How do you "know" that she sent 4 iMessages ?

(Apart from the issue that you only have her word)  How has she informed you that you have not responded ?
