I have a bundled copy of Numbers (and the rest of the iWork apps) that I received with a new Macbook. Is it possible to install it on my iMac as well, or do I need to purchase another copy?
Now that I'm used to Numbers, I need to edit these files on my other machines >_<

No. You will have to purchase Numbers on the iMac.

Don't pay again!
You can go to the Mac App Store, sign in with the same Apple ID & password you used to accept the apps on the MacBook & they should then appear in the Purchased tab for free download. If you haven't "accepted" the apps on the MacBook, do so following the instructions on this page.
The only time you should have to pay again is if you have the Mac versions & want to install on an iOS device. Again, it's only one purchase for each OS.
Thank you, Peggy, that was the issue. My iMac hadn't properly connected to iCloud because I had changed the master password a week or two ago. It complained at one point, so i entered the new one and, sure enough, numbers was ready to install from the Mac App Store 🙂
