Q: if i increase volume its showing that headphones volume but am not connected to headphones

If i increase volume on screen its displaying that headphones volume but am not connected to headphones due to this i'm unable to hear caller voice, how can i resolve this issue

iPhone 4S, iOS 8.1.1

The iPhone thinks there is a headphone connected - you probably need to clean your headphone jack at the bottom of the iPhone.  There are many tips about this on Youtube.   

Clean well using compressed air, Q-Tip with most of the fuzz removed - don't use metal as you can short circuit the contacts in the port.

Re-start your phone by pressing ON/Off switch and also pressing the Home button until you see the Apple logo re-appear.
