Q: My Mac storage says 231GB for "other"

My macbook storage says that the "other" category is taking up 231Gb of storage. I have gone through and deleted all the big files and everything that I do not need. I have downloaded multiple Mac storage cleaners and none of them have helped to lower the amount of storage. I have deleted all unnecessary mail and messages. How do i fix this problem?
