Q: Time Capsule won't load my data or my personal time capsule disks over my network.  Any suggestions on fixing  this TC issue.

So I  have my TC connected via Cat5 to one of two LAN ports on the back of  my cable modem.

My main interest is using the TC HD for NAS.  I have it running on a static IP.   When I attempt

to access the Data Disk and my account defined disk I get a message to choose an application to

open the disk.  Sharepoint does not register info on the volumes.

I have reset the TC,  connected to it Cat5 direct from laptop via airport utility, created a test account

nothing is working.  Seems like I am going to have to hard reset the TC to Factory default.nsn

Any suggestions are appreciated.

You always should factory reset the TC when you change network layout.

A factory reset does not delete any files on the hard disk.. it merely deletes the old setup info for the router.

After the reset .. you can reconfigure the TC with airport utility and should then again be able to access your files.

Exactly what model is your cable modem? Is it a full router? I cannot recall any cable modem with 2x ethernet.. plenty with 1.. plenty with 4 or even 5 now.. but none with 2.

If it is a special model for IPTV for example.. the second ethernet port might NOT be validly used as a network connection.
