Does Mac OS support Solidworks? If not what is the best alternative?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

There is no need to install anti virus software on a Mac. It will only cause problems.

Your Mac is running v10.11.6 El Capitan. It has protection pre installed > About System Integrity Protection on your Mac - Apple Support

Anti virus software will slow your Mac to a crawl.

According to their website SolidWorks there's no support for El Capitan v10.11 anyway.

Apparently they do not: http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/SystemRequirements.html

And even worse: "Apple Macintosh® based machines running Windows using Boot Camp are not supported."
