Q: Sound vanished!

I've just spent three hours editing an interview in Garageband 10.1.2. Everything as fine till I tried to save the work. Some warning window came up saying it couldn't save it; or at least it didn't save it without a fuss which is what I'm used to.

I can see the file saved to my Garageband folder. But when I open it up there is no sound. I can see the edited track and I can "play" it. But it's like it's empty.

Any thoughts?

PS: I hate the new Garageband, by the way. Nothing seems to work on it.

does the entire system have sound and only Garageband doesn't?

is there data in the tracks?

can you hear with headphones but not speakers? Are your speakers on? connected?

are you monitoring the tracks? running though an external loop? midi device?

is your audio output set to another device in GB?

is your audio output correct in the Apple control panel?

have you tried to create a new user with admin rights and reboot to that account and try that?

    as for the P.S.

noting we can do to fix hate here, thats more of a conceptual thing, we just volunteer to fix software and hardware. You can try to overcome it by love, or power chords, I choose power chords btw.
