Q: Fixing Synchronization in iOS Mail Folders
Hi:
I somewhat routinely run into issues with e-mail messages not being properly synched between folders in the various programs I use to access Apple's e-mail service, primarily Safari WEB-based iCloud, iOS Mail, and Outlook. How do I force synch/repair in the first two?
For example, I will move a message from the Inbox on my iPhone, but it will not be properly moved when accessing mail in Safari via iCloud. Or all folders will be properly synched in Outlook and on the WEB via Safari in iCloud, but messages that disappeared or were moved months ago via other portals will still be there on my iPad.
In Outlook one can right click a folder and choose either “Synchronize Now” or “Repair Folder” to fix the issues in the Apple e-mail folders, but I don’t know how to do this in iOS on an iPhone or iPad, nor when accessing mail messages via Safari and iCloud. (All OS systems are the most modern/current versions, but Outlook is Outlook 2011 and v14.6.6). Can one force synchronization and repair in iOS, or when using Safari via iCloud???
Thank you very much!
OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)
