Q: Sorting of plug-ins in TODAY

I noticed that the apps in Today are not sorted the way I want them displayed whenever I start my iMac fresh.

I ensured that in the System Preferences > Notifications the option Manually by App is been selected.

Seems this setting doesn't have any impact.

Ideas ?

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

This quirk has irked me for a while, too.  I like to keep the widgets in the Notification pane in a certain order from top to bottom.  When I restart my MacBook, the order gets rearranged and I have to go back and drag things back to where I want them.  I'd love to know if there is a way to make the desired order stick.  Not a huge deal, as I don't shut down/restart my MacBook all that often, but, it's still a nuisance.

At least I am not the only one having this "problem"

I shut down my MacBook, this weekend, as I was traveling.  Upon restarting it, I was, pleasantly, surprised to find all of my Notification Center widgets in the "correct" order (i.e. my preferred order).  Maybe Apple fixed this with 10.11.6?

    Nope.

Thought that as well but no. At least not for me.
