Q: Ipod Nano 7G to BMW 5 Series Bluetooth Connection Passkey?

Hi all,

I want to connect my iPod Nano 7G to my BMW 5 Series using the Bluetooth feature; but every time I try the car asks for a 'Passkey' which the iPod doesn't have. Hence, I am unable to enter a passkey the car wants and the connection fails. On the other hand, my iPhone SE connects to the car using Bluetooth as it has a passkey needed to unlock it. I've checked on the BMW website and my iPod should be compatible with the car via Bluetooth to play music - that's the only feature I want out of the connection. Does anyone know how can I either:

1. ...set a passkey on the iPod Nano to complete the connection?

2. ...by-pass the passkey requirement on the car?
