Q: Backup and restore from ios 8 to 9

Hi I have got an iPhone 4s with iOS 8.3 and I want to buy a new iPhone SE. Can I backup my iPhone 4s with e ios 8.3 and then restore it in the iphone SE with iOS 9.3?

    Yes. You can restore a backup made with an older version of iOS to a phone with a newer one with no issues.

     

    You could also update the 4s to iOS 9.3 and backup afterwards too.

    Yes you can. You can restore a backup made with an older iOS to a device with a newer iOS, you cannot restore a backup made with a newer iOS to a device with an older iOS.
