Where are my exported files being sent?

Ordinarily I export by simply hitting "share" then "master file" to which I can select the destination disk. iDVD has been having problems with my exported files so I decided to try the option that says "Apple Devices 1080p."

After its exports I get the "Share Successful" window but have no idea where it put this file. Doing a search for "Apple Devices 1080" comes up empty.

Does anyone know where these files are going?

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11), 3.46GHz (5,1) 6 core (48G RAM 1333)

What kind of problems are you encountering with iDVD?

Although I'm glad you now know the location of your files, I seriously doubt that giving iDVD an MP4 with the m4v extension is going to be a resolution to whatever those iDVD issues are. Typically, a Pro Res 422 or Pro Res LT master file would be the best choice.

Thank you Russ, it looks like your right. iDVD seems to like the MPEG-4/MP4 format the best. By exporting it via the "Apple Devices 1800p" I was mistaken and thought it would be a MP4 but instead it was a M4V. Ugh 😟

If there is no other quick way to get my chaptered project out of FCPX as a MP4 then I will try the Pro Res LT you suggested. The Pro Res 422 will cost me to much drive space and my final destination will be a DVD so the extra resolution wouldn't be much a benefit i guess.

Thx!! 🙂
