Q: Unable to access iBook store. I can view purchased books in my "Library" but have been unable to access the store via the icons at the bottom of the Library screen. I have also been unable to access the store via any of the links at end of books.

The Featured, NY Times, Top Charts, and Top Authors links are not allowing me to access the iBook store on my iPad. This issue began immediately after I downloaded and opened a book titled "Adobe After Effects: A Stey By Step Guide" by Richard Lee.

I have tried all of the posted fixes for accessing the iBook store but nothing has worked. I am NOT experiencing this issue on my iPhone, which is synced to my iPad for sharing books.

How do I resolve this issue without having to do a complete restore, please?

iPad Air, iOS 9.3.3

"I have tried all of the posted fixes for accessing the iBook store but nothing has worked."

We have no way to know exactly what troubleshooting you have tried unless you tell us.

If you haven't tried yet, restart your iPad.

    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
    3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

I have the identical issue on my iPad (and iPhone works fine). My wife has the same issue on her iPad--we can each see our libraries but not featured, categories, NY Times or purchased. I have tried quitting iBooks, restarting my iPad...no luck.

I have posted on two other threads started today re the same problem; my access to Ibooks store was not working late last night - 7/19 - and I tried syncing with my Imac which required upgrading to 9.3.3 - by then it was early morning 7/20 PDT; it still does not work; have tried signing in and out of iTunes; the hard reset as described above; 1 hour call with Apple Care - they had no solution; and my iPad Air 2 still does not access Ibooks store - my iPhone 6s (9.3.2 - will not upgrade until this is resolved), my very old iPad 2 do access the store - the old iPad 2 does is using 9.2.1

Any thoughts - I have posted on the other two threads - there are now more than 2 other threads though as more users are have this issue.

Yes - it does not seem related to the upgrade to 9.3.3 and is isolated to the iPad Air 2 - newer iPad; the iPhone is fine as is the old iPad 2 -  what iPad models are you and your wife using, if I may ask?

I have tried restarting both my iPad and iPad mini. The problem started after 9.3.3 update.

Mine is the 2014 iPad Air - I think this started 7/19/16 and it was there before the 9.3.3 on my iPad, in any event and also on your iPads.

Hopefully Apple will "fix" this issue.

I am able to access the iBooks store via my iPhone 6 using wifi which I also updated to 9.3.3 and my Mac laptop. I agree with you. Apple needs to fix the issue.

MY problem began BEFORE I upgraded my iPad Air 2 to 9.3.3 .... did not update until Wed. Afternoon but the issue began on Tuesday afternoon. I upgraded thinking it might fix the issue but based on what others are experiencing, upgrading the OS only exacerbated the problem. My iPhone is still 9.3.2 and I will not be updating until I know for sure I won't encounter the same problems.

in response to what fixes I have tried, at this point in time it isnt relevant what fixes I tried since others are experiencing the same problem.

I'm having the same problem on my 2 ipads and also not on my iPhone.  This started for me after I upgraded to IOS 9.3.3.  I wish I didn't updated my software.

Same thing is happening to me. I'm glad at least I'm not the only one. Guess we'll have to wait for a fix. I hope it's soon.

Same here... iPad Air 2 problem started this week, either Tuesday or Wednesday, and before I did the update. I updated in hopes of that fixing it.  My iPhone 5 accesses them just fine. Obviously an Apple bug.

I have posted this on another thread.   I had the problem with an iPad running iOS 9.3.3

Here is what I tried that did not work for me:

    1. Close iBooks app
    2. Reset iPad
    3. Signed out of icloud and itunes
    4. Restored iPad (several hours)

I then tried "Reset All Settings" under "General".  (note that this will reset all WiFi passwords and lockscreen/wallpaper images, plus you will need to sign back into icloud and itunes)   After that, iBooks worked as normal and has been for about 12 hours.  Best of luck!
