Q: Mainstage 3 output switching randomly

Hello,

Using OSX 10.9.5 running Mainstage 3.1.1, Akai MPK controller and an Allen & Heath ICE 16D as interface and output on channel 1-2 stereo.

The other day on stage I line checked mainstage perfectly working, as soon as my player steps on stage and pressed his pad I could see the MIDI input was fine, the audio output from Mainstage looked fine, said "output 1-2" as it always does but the audio was physically coming out of 3-4 on the interface (visible from the LED on front)

I quickly reset mainstage and it worked for the next chorus, however it did this again later on in the set - randomly switching to output 2-3 and 3-4 so there was a loss in audio again despite mainstage metering audio and telling me the output was 1-2 on the channel strip.

Has anyone encountered this before? Has anyone an idea of a fix so this will never happen again? It has been rock solid for almost 12 months touring and cannot let me down now. I see people have updated to 3.2 and regretted it, should I stay away from updating as a fix?

It is solely used for ESX24 sampling on pads and keys with one patch having an EQ filter on one of the control knobs if that's of interest.

Many thanks,

Jamie
