Q: My Air Port express does not show up on the air port utility on my iPhone

I have an Apple air port express router to connect remote speakers. I installed a new Arris modem wireless router and successfully reconnected the apple tv. However, the air port express does not show up on either the airport utility of my iPhone or the wi fi menu of my iPad. So I have no way to connect the air port exress to my base router.

    If your AirPort Express was already configured as an AirPlay receiver, and it's not on the current WiFi network, the AirPort Utility has no way of finding it. I suggest that you use the button on the AirPort to restore it to factory settings and reconfigure it according to the manual. Alternatively, configure your new router to use the same SSID and key as the prior network. Then the AirPort won't know the difference.

    With the AirPort Express plugged into power, press and hold the device's reset button for 10 seconds. A green light will flash for a bit and then the device will reset itself -- a process that takes about 45 seconds. Once reset, you can configure it with the AirPort Express Assistant or the AirPort Admin Utility.
