Q: Launch Google Drive only if local folder is available

Hello everyone,

I have my Google Drive local folder in an external HD, because I don't want it taking space in my Mac's HD. Google Drive is set to automatically start when I switch on my computer, but sometimes I have no need for the external drive to be on, other than for Google Drive, or I simply forget to switch it on, and this causes Google Drive to say there's an error because the folder couldn't be found.

The solution is to either simply leave Google Drive in error mode (nothing happens apart from the ! sign on top of the icon in the menu bar), or I can just quit it. And that's fine with me, but I was wondering if there would be a way to tell Google Drive app to only launch if the external drive is available. Maybe a script of some kind?

Maybe it's not worth the trouble, but it doesn't hurt to ask

Thank you all in advance,

Rui
