Q: Dnld/Inst El Cap/10.11 fr Snow Leop/10.6 on 7/16. Contacts/Calendars did NOT update via iTunes (no "info" choice).

Downloaded/installed El Cap/10.11 from Snow Leopard/10.6 on July 16, 2016. Dismayed to learn Contacts/Calendars did NOT update via iTunes (no "info" choice under devices).  DO NOT WANT ICLOUD AT ALL.  Any hope??
