iPad not recognized by PC

Hello!

I have a major issue going on for months now.

My iPad Pro 12" is unable to be recognized my Windows 10 PC when I plug it in. I don't even get a prompt to trust the computer.

I get an error, "device descriptor request failed (code 43)"It shows up in the list of devices, but only as a yellow triangle.

I tried just about everything I could, and so did Apple Care.

I called them about a month ago and the lady gave all her suggestions

about checking Apple Mobile Device Driver, uninstalling them and reinstalling them;

reinstalling iTunes, Bonjour, and whatnot.

I get an error that the device can't start when I manually install the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver,

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

She requested a system image of my computer, and in an update a couple weeks ago, she informed me that the engineers are going to be taking thorough look, so it'll be quite a while before they finish. My case is still open.

I also tried plugging it into the computer while holding the home button, and no success. Same errors.

The weird thing about this, though, is that I'm able to connect my sister's iPhone 6 Plus without a problem.

I tried using another cable, her cable, from Apple, not off brand, and it still didn't work. I let Apple Care know about this.

If the iPhone can connect to the computer without a problem, shouldn't the iPad as well?

All I can see on the iPad is the lightning bolt icon next to the battery when I plug it in, or sometimes it says "Not Charging". I also tried all USB ports.

Basically, I'm looking for any extra brainpower. Is the problem with my computer? Is it my iPad? Is it both?

Thank you all in advance!

Hi,

You need to start the iTunes program before connecting the iPad. You connect it in the sleeping mode and should not need to wake it up. ITunes should recognize it and either prompt you, or display an iPad icon for you to open. While connected, you control syncing, backups, etc. through iTunes.

The error you showed should only happen if you try to connect without iTunes running. iPad is not a USB device, so Windows doesn't know what to do with it.

I've rebooted my computer many times. Everything is fine and installed. The Apple Mobile Device service is running. I've tried stopping it and restarting it and setting it to automatic as technical support specified. It just won't pick up on my iPad. It does pick up on my sister's iPhone, strangel, so I know everything is fine with iTunes and its components.
