Q: Apple watch

So my phone restored without a backup, the only back up is from months ago. My apple watch wasn't unpaired before the restore, so my apple watch still has my pictures and messages and all on it. I don't care much about the messages or anything else, I'm just wanting the pictures from my watch back on to my phone. Is there anyway possible to get them back onto my phone?

Apple Watch, null

So when a backup is done before paring it again, the pics wont be on the watch after it's repaired?

Photos can only be synced to Apple Watch from the paired iPhone. They cannot be synced in the other direction or otherwise exported from your watch.

Even if this had been possible, the photos that are stored on your watch have been automatically resized to smaller pixel dimensions, for display on the watch's smaller screen.

The best that you could do is to take photos (using your iPhone) of the photos on your watch.

If you have erased your iPhone, your watch is not currently paired with it. So you cannot back up or unpair your watch via the Watch app.

You will instead need to erase your watch manually prior to re-pairing it to the restored iPhone:

    • On your watch: when viewing the time, go to the Home screen (via a single press of the Digital Crown) > Settings (cog icon) > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings.
    • To re-pair: Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support
