Q: Apple TV 7.2.1 update causing network problems

Hi,

 

Since the 7.2.1 update was installed on my 3rd Gen Apple TV, I haven't been able to maintain a stable network connection either through ethernet or Wifi.

 

I have tried to reset my Apple TV and Apple Extreme base station a few times - this has resulted in the network connection coming up briefly and then dropping a few minutes later !

 

Any help to resolve this would be hugely appreciated

    I'm not sure how the ethernet connection can be unstable, unless the wire's broken.

    For WiFi, make sure your network is using WPA2-AES (CCMP) encryption, with no dual-mode, no TKIP. And try forgetting the network and re-entering the parameters on the ATV.

    You might also check for updates on your AirPort, but I don't know about that.
