Q: Iphone 6 Plus touch not working before and after repairs.

I have an iphone 6 Plus that had a cracked screen. It started off a hairline crack and was ok for a year before I dropped it. After the second time, I dropped it they white part near the camera came a bit off and the touch started playing up. First, it was a bit jittery and there were a few random flashed of light. At this time the touch screen stopped working properly. Then it broke completely a couple days after that with the screen turning into rainbow lines of colours.

At this point, I took it to get fixed. They guy replaced the screen and white bit. When I went to pick it up the screen still wasn't working so I went back the next day so he could have some time with. When I went to get it again he said that there was some dust on the connection part that he cleaned to get the touch working. He also compared my phone to two other 6 plus he was working on to see if there was any difference and couldn't see any. The touch was working when I picked it up however when I got home it started playing. For the first 30sec of having it unlocked the touch works fine but there after it stops working and occasionally flickers a bright light.

I'm unsure of what to do and how to tell him to repair it. I don't want to fork out another $180 as I'm a student and don't have any money. They said they will try and fix but he doesn't know what is wrong with it. Also, my fingerprint is not longer working on it, it doesn't even pick up that the finger is on the home button

Please help!

If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn‘t respond to touch

If your touchscreen responds slowly, inconsistently, or doesn't respond at all, follow these steps.

    Check your touchscreen

Make sure that your hands are clean and dry, then try these steps:

    1. If you have a case or screen protector on your device, try removing it.
    2. Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
    3. Unplug your device.
    4. Restart your device. If you can't restart it, you can force restart your device.

If your touchscreen still doesn't respond like it should, contact Apple Support or take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Adjust your settings for 3D Touch

If you have an iPhone 6s or later that isn't responding properly to 3D Touch presses, you can adjust the settings:

    1. Go to Settings > General.
    2. Tap Accessibility > 3D Touch.
    3. Then adjust the sensitivity of the setting.

Seems clear from your post that the shop fubar'd the repair. You'll need to deal with them to get it fixed. If this shop was not an Apple Authorized repair center, then you've forfeit any and all further support from Apple, so that shop is your only recourse to get a proper working repair done. They should at least stand by their own parts and work I would hope.
