My macbook is only charging to 97 percent, ive read somewhere that this is normal because it stops charging when you reach 95 percent

Not unless there's a problem with the charger or the battery needs replacing, it should charge to 100%.

Occasionally, the battery may not show a full charge (100%) in OS X, even after the power adapter has been connected for an extended period of time. The battery may appear to stop charging between 93 percent and 99 percent. This behavior is normal and will help to prolong the overall life of the battery.
well the charger is new directly ordered from apple and the mac is refurbished 2 moths old now and it said that it had a new battery
thanks i was worried since my battery is only through 20 cycles when it can handle 1000 ( according to internet artikels )
please go work for Apple!
