You have provided almost no information about your computer and this makes it very hard to answer your question.

Please identify with details which build year model Apple computer, by name

and model identification number; you can locate information to use to search

online about your computer by looking in About This Mac in the Finder menu.

The 'more info' button will open a utility that shows Hardware spec & software.

The MacPro (if that is what you have; some say that when they have MacBook/Pro)

has been around in name awhile. The older models look like aluminum PowerMac

tower desktop units, except there was a transition from PowerPC CPU to Intel; so

the case looks like the older model yet inside is a different architecture. The last

Mac Pro is a black cylinder-shape that looks like a cooling tower.

There were no MacPro models back in the early OS X days; so your identification

of the Operating System would also be helpful. You can use an online identification

page, to identify by serial number or model; the Serial Number identification is best.

Do not post your product serial number or other personal identifiers here.

    • Mac Serial Number Info - Lookup your Apple product Serial Number:

    https://www.powerbookmedic.com/identify-mac-serial.php

    This page will show the details about your build model, where/when manufactured;

and yet not anything further you may have added to it since it was new...

As there are other ways to identify build model, see add'l sources of information:

    In any event...

    Good luck & happy computing!
