I'm sorry you are unable to update your iPad Air. Are you trying to update it using a desktop or portable computer with iTunes, or are you trying to perform the update over Wi-Fi? If you are unable to do it one way, can you try the other way (see Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support)?

Jul 23, 2016 10:36 AM in response to gregoryfromwinnipegby ChrisJ4203,If you encounter errors in OTA updates, it is probably necessary for you to do it via iTunes on the computer. The verification error could be an internet issue as well.
Not sure why it could be difficult for you to do it via iTunes on the laptop.

If so, here is a list of stores (in Winnipeg, based on your username) which could probably let you use theirs. I'm unsure how the first 3 works, but all the Apple Stores are full of iMacs you can use, and if you take an appointment they'll even update your device for you :

What is puzzling me the most, is why I had no problems with the update on 3 other divices all done by OTA on the same network. I'll try the update over the next few days And see what happens. iOS 10 will be here soon enough!!
