Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important getting your password issue resolved is to you! Good news is I had a similar issue and here is how I resolved it:
1. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store and sign out of your Apple ID. Then force close the Settings app.
Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
2. Restart your iPhone as the shut down and start up process is important to keep the iPhone software running properly:

3. Then sign back into your Apple ID with the correct password at Settings > iTunes & App Store. Here are other services that use your Apple ID that you may want to correct the password with:
