Q: "Apple ID verification" shows up every time my Watch turns on and connects
(Watch is actually running on watchOS 2.2.2. As of this writing the drop-down menu for "Operating System" does not show an option for 2.2.2.)
Some months ago I changed the email address associated with my Apple ID and my iCloud, and was able to eventually get my iPhone to stop nagging me to enter the password for the old address.
However, after pairing my Watch to my iPhone, every time it powers on and connects to my iPhone afterwards, my iPhone once again bugs me to enter the password for the Apple ID assigned to my old email address, which of course I can't do because there is no Apple ID assigned to that address anymore. Despite this, the iCloud tab in Settings shows the current email address that is linked to my Apple ID, and if I open the Watch app and go to General -> Apple ID, my current email address is shown.
In other words, Apple ID is linked to address A, iPhone Settings -> iCloud also shows that my email address is A, iPhone's Watch app -> General -> Apple ID indicates that my watch is linked to the Apple ID linked to address A, but when Watch turns on I'm asked on my iPhone to enter the password for address B.
So far I haven't seen anything particularly bad come out of this; I'm able to use apps and Apple Pay on my Watch with no issue, but it is irksome that I'm asked for information I can't enter every time I have to turn my Watch back on (usually from running out of power or going into Power Reserve mode), and would prefer to get this issue solved.
Apple Watch, watchOS 2.2.1, iPhone 5S on iOS 9.3.2

Hi
Having changed your Apple ID email address, check that you have updated your sign-in information for all related services. The following support article provides a checklist of stores and services:
In come cases (eg Messages, FaceTime), you may still be signed in with your old Apple ID. If so, sign out of those services and then sign back in again using your new Apple ID address.
After making any changes, it may help to:
- Restart both devices (turn both off together, then restart your iPhone first).
- Unpair and re-pair your watch:
