I am not getting Apple Watch software updates

The following steps may help:

If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone to the latest software:

Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

It may then help to close all open apps on your iPhone and then restart both your iPhone and your watch:

• On your iPhone: double-click the Home button, then swipe up on each app preview to close it;
• Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first;
• Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

After restarting, check that your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi and follow the steps here:
