Q: Restoring pictures not processing

Hello,

My iPhone didn't had a lot of space remaining but was still able to take pictures.

Suddenly, when I was browsing my pictures, the screen went dark and the camera roll showed 0 pictures (and there was no pictures displayed in the folder). After some time, a "Restoring" message was showing on the bottom of my screen and I could see 1-2-300 photos coming back. I just realizing that now the "Restoring" message is still there but the amount of pictures is not growing up anymore and that the pictures between January 15th and this evening are missing...

I didn't backed-up or airdropped thoses pictures before... I'm currently on vacations for a week and all my pictures are MIA.......

HELP PLEASE !!!!!!!!

    Hello raphaellefromcolmar,

Thank you for being part of the Apple Community!

Based on what you stated, it seems you are having issues with missing photos.  I know how important those photos are to capture those special moments with friends and family.

The first thing I would check is to see if there is any room left on the iPhone for any additional photos to be restored to.  You can do this by following these instructions:

Check your storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If there is no additional room available, then you would need to remove other files such as Apps that are no longer being used.  If Photo Stream was turned on, then the last 30 days of photos should be available.  You can find more information about Photo Stream here:

    My Photo Stream FAQ

If you had iCloud Photo Library turned on, then the photos are being stored in iCloud.  Connect the iPhone to Wi-Fi and turn on iCloud Photo Library by going to Settings > iCloud > Photos. Your photos and videos will begin to download.

    iCloud Photo Library

Once you have everything back, I would recommend creating a backup.  That way if anything happens, you will not lose anything.

    Have a great day!
