Jul 24, 2016 4:16 AM in response to Melshimber2by Christopher Lim,I am also on 10.11.6 and using a first-gen magic mouse, however I am unable to recreate the issue, note, I am using a 2012 MacBook Air though. Some standard troubleshooting methods can be found on an Apple Page here, additional third party information can also be found here. You can also try resetting the SMC and the PRAM, found here, and here, respectively. You shouldn't lose any information and there shouldn't be any harm in doing so. Also, do you have any issues with any other bluetooth devices? If you run any bluetooth utilities like Notifyr and MacID, they might also interfere with your bluetooth connections.

Jul 25, 2016 11:50 AM in response to Melshimber2by Melshimber2,Hiya - thanks for the reply. I have tried all of those and still nothing from my Mouse. Very strange really, don't really want to buy a new one but might have no choice!

Aug 1, 2016 12:00 PM in response to Melshimber2by Melshimber2,I have managed to isolate the problem! The mouse was connecting to my iMac mini rather than the MacBook Pro. . . a hang up from when I had the mini as the main computer. Don't know why it has suddenly started connecting more quickly to the 'server'. Oh well, problem solved.
