Q: time capsule firmware update
Helo,
My airport time capsule (73300.1) under El captain 10.11.5 indicate that a firmware is available. I tried to update it, but the "update" part is not active I can choose just the "skip" option. I tried to do the update with a macbook air, and an iMac as well, both with wifi and cable connection as well, without any success. Could you suggest me a solution for it?

- Hold down the option key, and then, select the current firmware version number. You should now have a list of available firmware and an "Other..." option.
- Select the Other... option. This will open a Finder window to allow you to locate the firmware file that you just downloaded. Again, by default, it should be located in your Downloads folder.
These two steps would allow you to access the file that you downloaded. You need to hold down the option key on your Mac's keyboard, and then, click on the current version number found in the AirPort Utility.
In the image below, mine is 7.7.7. You want to hold down the option key & click on where I highlighted it. You will notice that the number will both highlight itself and provide a mini drop down menu.
From this drop down menu, choose Other...
Then just follow the rest of the steps.
