MacBook is not recognized by AirDrop on iPad

Well, annoying as usual, it is not working for some reason.

MacBook Pro Retina 15" (Mid 2012)

iPad Mini (2013)

Trying to send some pictures from my iPad to my MacBook, the MacBook is not recognized by the iPad. The other way around it is no problem, I can see my iPad shown in the AirDrop Folder on the MacBook and transfer works as well in that direction.

I have tried several solutions, obv. turning off / on the AirDrop / Bluetooth / Wifi, resetting network settings on the iPad, restarting iPad and MacBook, and so on, nothing works.

The point is, maybe a month ago, everything worked perfectly in both directions, AirDrop from MacBook to iPad and from iPad to MacBook, just as I expect it. What I suspect is, after updating both devices with the latest OS software, it probably stopped working that well.

Is there anything that I can do to fix that? I simply want to send some pictures from the iPad to the MacBook using AirDrop.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

alright got it, for some reason the macbook and ipad had no automatic active bluetooth connection, even when bluetooth was activated on both devices, i fixed that manually and now the macbook shows up on the ipad as well and transfer works 🙂

edit: for some strange reason i have to keep the buetooth settings window opened to make the mac appear on the airdrop on the ipad, even when i minimize the bluetooth seetings window on the mac, then it no longer shows as a airdrop contact on the ipad, really strange
