Q: If I reset my iPhone to yesterday, will it restore my accidently deleted text messages?

I selected one message to delete, but they are ALL gone.

If I reset my iphone to a previous date, like yesterday, will they be restored?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.3, null

You restore content from a backup, either made in iTunes or iCloud. Simply setting the date back one day will do absolutely nothing with regards to the data and files on the device.

    What do you mean if you reset your phone yesterday will it restore your deleted text messages? A reset doesn't do anything except to power the device off/on. If you restored your device to a backup that was made before text messages were deleted, then yes, they would be restored, but then anything done since that date would be deleted.

    As I said earlier, if you restore your device to a date when messages were on the device, then yes, it will restore the messages. Read the rest of my original post. You don't reset the phone to another date, you restore it.
