Incorrect perfect block count for file live.0.indexCompactDirectory (it should be 5326 instead of 2663)

Hey,

I'm having a problem with my Macbook Pro 2012 on El Capitan.

One day I opened my laptop and the screen was black but it was on (it was hot and I could hear the fans). I thought it was asleep so I attempted to wake it with no luck. I then proceeded to restart the computer manualy with the button on the top right. Since I have done that it will not boot. It gets stuck approximately 60% through the apple and loading bar screen and shuts down. I've already tried logging in with safe mode and the same thing happened. I then proceeded to use disk utility to check with first aid what the problem was and it showed the following:User uploaded file

Any ideas on what I could do? Unfortunately I have not backed up since February and would prefer not to recover from that backup.

(Ps. I've also reset the PRAM)

Thankyou for your time and patience!

This indicates a failed or failing hard drive. You can take it out and put it in an enclosure to see if you can recover the data you need, or use Target Disk Mode, if you have another Mac available. Connect Macs with a Firewire, Thunderbolt or Ethernet cable follow the steps here, except you are using target disk mode to make the hard drive on your target act as a connected drive. Then use Disk Utility to erase.
