Q: setting up family sharing issue
I'm trying to set up family share, but keep getting a message saying that my account is used for shared purchases in a family that I don't remember setting up. how do I delete this and start fresh

Check Settings > iCloud > Family. If this option appears and you're the family organizer, you'll be able to stop family sharing and create a new family: Leave Family Sharing - Apple Support
This issue often happens when someone is using different apple ID's: one account to do purchases on the iTunes Store and App Store and other account to use it with iCloud. Doublecheck that you're using the same account on both (suggestion). Sometimes, people create family sharing groups with several ID's and it becomes a big mess.
