You can get a discount, however the amount is determined by how Apple prices the particular product. You can find out what that is by switching from the regular store site to the Education site. You will find the option in the site list at the bottom of the store page. Or you can check in at your school's bookstore or computer store.
You must meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the discount.
