Jul 25, 2016 11:42 AM in response to Csound1by jrm84,See the original screenshots. In Disk Utility the partition clearly shows size: 999.21 GB. It also says this in the last screen shot I posted under "capacity". However, notice how it says in the other two screenshots that my capacity is only 144 GB. I'm trying to reindex spotlight again but it didn't work the first time. I should have 855 GB of free space but I'm not able to use it!

Jul 25, 2016 12:17 PM in response to Csound1by jrm84,Ok I've never used the app before. How do I get it to "identify the missing space"?
-
Jul 25, 2016 12:19 PM in response to jrm84by Csound1,It will identify everything on your drive, anything that is not there, is not there.
But at least you will know what is using your space. It takes a while so start soon.

Jul 25, 2016 12:24 PM in response to jrm84by jrm84,Nothing is "taking up the space." It's as if the space doesn't actually exist.
