Q: Ipad file transfert to mac

Hi,

I can't beleive i've just lost 1 hour trying to transfert songs from my ipad to my mac with no success.

I tried with itunes and syncronize but i can't see where the songs are stored on my mac.

What a pity, why can't it be simply done as on W10 and Linux, simply copy and past from file manager ???

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), mid 2007

If you downloaded the songs in iTunes on the iPad, you can transfer the songs into iTunes on the Mac using the Transfer Purchases command in iTunes. Your iPad must be connected to the Mac with the cable or via WiFi - if you sync over WiFi.

Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer - Apple Support

This only works for iTunes purchases.

Do they show up in iTunes? If yes, then they should be in the Music subfolder of your Home directory.

You should be able to copy iTunes purchased music from the iPad to your Mac's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option in iTunes - they should be copied under the folder that you have specified on the Advanced tab in iTunes > Preferences (command-comma). Is that what you've tried ?
