Q: Duplicate Movies & iCloud status question
I have a strange issue. I am running the newest version of iTunes on my Mac. The last time I was in there (maybe two weeks ago), everything was fine. I opened iTunes today to download two movies I had purchased. Here's were things are a little strange.
In my recent movies list I noticed that some of the movies had duplicates. There's at least 6 of them. There's the one I downloaded previously and another one with the little cloud on it. I then clicked on the full listing of movies and looked at the list. All the ones that are duplicated have one listing that says purchased and one that says ineligible (in the iCloud status field). The ones that say ineligible are the ones that I had previously downloaded. I tried playing a few of them and they play just fine. I'm confused as to what happened here. As I said, everything was fine and normal the last time I was in here. I haven't opened iTunes or even done much of anything on the computer in that time. All my music is fine with no duplicates.
Any ideas what's happened or how I can fix this issue? I thought about downloading the duplicates that have the little cloud and then deleting the ones that say ineligible but I don't want to end up messing something up and loosing those movies all together. I just want to remove the duplicates.

Hello there, nhlisa!
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having an issue figuring out which duplicate movie to delete from your library. I know how important it is to be sure there is a good copy of a movie in iTunes to be able to watch anytime. Check out this article here about how to Find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library.
What might have happened is that the iTunes Store pushed new versions of the movies for you. The best option would be to delete the ineligible version and download the iCloud version so you have the best version available on iTunes and for your future viewing.
Cheers!
