Q: 500gb hard drive shows only 150gbs.
I installed a new 500GH SSHD hard drive and partitioned it in order to install Ubuntu or Linux Mint, but decided afterwards that I didn't want to install Linux. I tried to erase the partition but it would not let me, so I've only had 150GBs of space on my back.
How do I recover the other 350GBs of storage?
Here are screenshots.
Thank you in advance.

If you created a Linux partition on the disk, then you will need to use Linux to remove it. Disk Utility cannot handle Linux disks and partitions. The images you provided don't make a lot of sense. It shows a 500 GB disk with around 90% accounting for 150 GBs while the rest of the disk is only 4 GBs. Clearly there is a problem. You will need to use GParted in Linux to restore the disk to one full-sized partition. Set the disk to be formatted using MBR and FAT32. The OS X utility, Disk Utility, can read/write that format so you can then re-partition it using GUID and format the disk using Mac OS Extended, Journaled.
