Q: What is my best option for a monitor for a new desktop mac pro?

What is my best option for a monitor for a new mac pro desktop? I want at least a 32"-40" display to mount on the wall. I will be editing with FCP X on footage that is 1080p from my Canon 70D camera. The monitor will be approx. four feet away. I can't spend a fortune but I need something that will look great on the wall that will be compatable with the mac,FCP X,text images, and 1080p footage. I don't know whether to get a computer monitor or a 4K tv that upscales the 1080p footage that i will be editing. someone also told me that someone makes a software program upscaled for the mac that uses its processors to do the upscaling. Anyone have knowledge of that and how good it works?I have not been able to find a definitive answer from anyone on these questions and this is the only thing holding me back from buying the new mac. Can anyone help? I obviously want the editing program, text and 1080p to look as good as possible.

Thanks

A 32 to 40 in TV set for 1080p is just a good HDTV. If you do not have 4K source material, there is no point in a 4K display. There is no upscaling involved.

The advantage of a Monitor over a TV is crisper static pictures with very fine lines and fine text -- stuff you say you do not need on this wall-TV.

Be sure you get a TV that is computer-savvy, because if it does not respond to a secondary-channel query for "what is your name and what are your capabilities" you get no picture on a Mac.
