How to connect to a windows OS from IOS and execute a windows program??

Hello all,

I'd like to know if is possible to execute a windows program(i.e DIR or WINVER) in a windows machine on network via command line from a IOS computer connected in the same network. Basicly, I have 2 computers in a network, one is MAC OS and the other is WINDOWS. From the MAC OS I want to execute a windows command inside the windows machine.

For instance, via terminal in my mac I want to connect on windows machine and execute any windows program that I have in the windows machine.

I know that is possible to do it in linux through WMIC Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line.

Do we have something similar to WMIC for IOS??

Missed that point, Yes, Virtualizing Linux on the Mac and installing the WMIC client on it may be the better option.

I am confused. You mentions a PC (Windows OS), Mac OS (Apple computer) and iOS (operating system for Apple's iPod touch, iPhone and iPad).

One can get apps that allows an iOS computer to use a mac computer or Windows coputer like LogMeIn or GoToMyPC.

Yu can also get app that allows one to use a Mac computer to access a PC.

I don't wanna connect via remote desktop. I need to connect via command line, then I will develop a program to connect in all my PCs and execute programs locally.

LogmeIn, Remote Desktop, VNC or any kind of connectors like that are not a solution, have to be via terminal. 😟

The best you could conceivably do since Windows isn't really designed to allow terminal only connections like Linux or MacOS is to install an SSH server on the Windows machines.

Then you can connect to the Windows machines via SSh, and execute commands there like you would on Linux for

instance.

Not sure what having Linux on the Mac is going to do though. The Mac can already do most everything a Linux machine can via terminal.

In iOS, there is nothing approaching a "command line"

Sorry!!! I mean PC and MAC OS.

I wanna open the terminal in the MAC, connect via command line in the PC and execute any program inside the PC, like a DIR, for instance.

Then just use an remote desktop app like LogMeIn on both computer. You can access the entire computer.

I am not aware of any terminal command that will do what you want.

You could make the connection then open Terminal on the Mac. Otherwise you also need to write a program for the Mac to connect to the PC that is customized for your needs.
