Check your storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
if you have limited space left on the device try clearing some up before you update the apps.
are you connected to wi-fi or cellular?
connect to wi-fi and stay close to the wi-fi to rule out interference.
update one app at time and see if you get any further with that.
my iPhone has always crapped out doing an "update all" but you should be able to run a single update or a handful of multiple ones

Jul 26, 2016 9:27 AM in response to JimmyCMPITby davidfrombrookdale,I rebooted iPhone. I checked free space in iTunes and on device. They don't agree on how much free space there is but there is at least 3 Gb. free.
I'm connected over wifi. I will try later over cellular.
Update one at a time or all, I get same results, failed update.
