Q: Restored wrong backup, have I lost everything? help!

I didn't mean to restore or back up anything. I thought I was going through the motions of updating itunes. Turns out my iphone 6 is looking like a brand new wiped clean phone ready for set up. my itunes is showing apps from my old phone from about 7 months ago. I just got back from holiday and was trying to import around 800 photos and I'm now worried if I follow the steps on the screen I will never get them back (I did notice icloud storage saying it was full while I was on holiday so I don't know if the cloud will have saved everything).

Is there any way to undo the iphone I restored so that its back to normal with all my current apps/contacts/photos?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! thank you! x

iPhone 6, null

Sorry your current data is gone, if you didn't back up your phone.

If icloud states that storage is full, then it didn't back up anything.  However you can go into icloud settings - backup and see when the last back up was.

There is never a need to connect your device to iTunes if all that you want to do is to update the software. You can do that simply by launching iTunes and most of the time if an update is available, you will get a pop up window asking if you want to update.

Did you try to import the photos by connecting the phone to your computer with the cable?

Your inital question says that you restored the "wrong" backup. Does that mean that you do have another backup?

Finally, what steps on the screen are you referring to? What does it say to do?
