FaceTime on MacBook with display turned off

Hello,

I have set up my MacBook to automatically accept my calls only from my phone number, I use this to check on my pets at home when I'm away. The problem I have is that sometimes I forget to set the display to always on, so when I try to FaceTime I don't get through. Is there a way to have my MacBook wake up when I make a FaceTime call. I set the MacBook to prevent hard drive from sleeping but if the display goes off then it doesn't take face time calls.

Thank you.

Thank you for the reply.

I checked settings and still not working. This is what I'm working with.

MacBook Pro (retina,13 inch, Mid 2014)

Processor: 2.6Ghz intelcore i5

Running OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6

iTunes 12.4.2 (latest) (my understanding is that iTunes installs bonjour)

there are no needed updates for the OS ( checked twice to make sure)

Wireless network on AirPort Extreme running version 7.7.7 no updates needed

I have "back to my mac" logged in with my Apple ID and so is my MacBook Pro.
